Finance Yorkshire has made scores of investments in Sheffield City Region SMEs, demonstrating its pivotal contribution to business growth and success.
As we move into the second half of 2014, an impressive number of businesses are performing strongly as the UK economy continues to grow, strengthening the City Region’s position in the global marketplace.
These companies – a considerable number of whom have received significant investment from Finance Yorkshire – are developing new products and services, gaining footholds in new markets and creating jobs.
Investment in the region’s SMEs is central to the work of Finance Yorkshire – it’s what we appear to do very well, as demonstrated by our latest statistics.
To date, Finance Yorkshire has invested more than £71 million in companies – a noteworthy number are in Sheffield City Region – which equates to 574 deals in businesses, from start-ups right through to more established companies.
As a result, a total of 7,238 jobs have been created and safeguarded with an additional £146.5 million generated in private sector leverage. More than 350 businesses have received Finance Yorkshire funding and a further 37 businesses have been created as a result of our involvement. In every case, our investments are making a valuable difference to the companies involved.
Finance Yorkshire is ‘open for business’ and will be making many more investments in Sheffield City Region companies to deliver increased levels of success.
