JOBS are at risk in Sheffield after Homeform - the owner of Moben kitchens, bathroom chain Dolphin and Sharps bedrooms - announced its intention to appoint administrators.

Across the country 1,300 jobs are at risk. One of the firm’s 160 UK showrooms is at Meadowhall Retail Park on Attercliffe Common in Sheffield. Staff there said they had “no comment” when contacted by The Star yesterday.

The company, owned by private equity group Sun Capital Partners, said it was ‘close to securing a deal that will safeguard the future’ of bedrooms brand Sharps and sister company Kitchens Direct. It is looking for a buyer for Moben and Dolphin.

The UK arm of designer furniture shop Habitat has also gone into administration, it was announced yesterday. Nearest stores are in Leeds and Manchester.
