People can also see demonstrations of working at height, view Decent Homes refurbishment work and find out about the company’s work with Sheffield University.
A spokeswoman for Kier, which maintains the city’s 42,000 council houses, said: “The purpose of the visit is to provide our customer representatives with a wider understanding of the repairs service.
“It is also an opportunity to meet with key personnel from the Sheffield team. There will also be questionnaires during the registration with a session at the end of the day devoted to answering the queries.
“We will also be offering visitors the opportunity to put their name down for a ‘Rideout’ which is where a visitor would work-shadow an operative for a morning and there will be a barbecue lunch provided.”
