EVERYTHING’S blooming at homeless charity Emmaus Sheffield, thanks to the success of its gardening service.
Emmaus gives formerly homeless people somewhere safe to live through being part of a working community geared towards self-sufficiency through social enterprise.
Its gardening service has already received work from Sheffield Council. Now it is attracting bookings from private householders too.
“We have two teams of fully supervised gardeners working most days because demand is so high,” said community manager Graham Bostock.
“We’re very good at mowing lawns, cutting hedges and clearing overgrown areas - just the sort of heavy work many people need help with.” Call 0114 272 0677.
