MORE Eastern flavour comes to Sheffield’s London Road next week with the opening of new Vietnamese restaurant, Little Hanoi at number 216.

The owners are from the same family as the owners of Japanese teppanyaki WasabiSabi on the same road.

The head chef is from a respected Vietnamese restaurant group in London.

Little Hanoi will also have private karaoke rooms, hugely popular in the Far East.

Britain’s Favourite Family Chippy Award 2012 is looking for South Yorkshire entries.

Chip shops must be family-run say organisers, Huddersfield soft drinks brand Ben Shaws.

The winning chip shop will receive a trophy and £500 to treat their loyal customers with.

CROSSPOOL’S Artisan bistro, awarded Bib Gourmand in the Michelin Guide for the 15th year running and highly recommended in The Good Food Guide and Harden’s Restaurant Guide, is in the running for another award.

The venue, founded by chef Richard Smith 17 years ago, has been shortlisted for Best Restaurant in the White Rose Awards – the biggest tourism awards in the UK. Winners will be announced on October 1.
