But how about a blob of parsnip and wasabi ice cream instead?
Yee Kwan Chan, Sheffield’s artisan ice cream maker, is convinced her savoury ices will hit the spot.
She’s also making an apple and sage to go with pork and garden pea and mint for lamb dishes and they’re on sale at Mac’s Butchers, Buxton, and Border View Farm Shop, Dronfield Woodhouse.
The idea came when she was asked to take part in Channel 4 show The Secret Supper Club at Thornbridge Hall, Derbyshire, home of the brewery.
To be shown at 3.50pm on April 2, the series charts presenter Olly Smith’s regional search for great food producers, who are then asked to throw their own dinner party.
