Ice cream trader road safety fears

Have your say

A Sheffield school is objecting to plans by an ice cream seller to trade outside.

Peter Devoti, of Norton, has applied for consent to trade near Tinsley Nursery and Infant School, on Siemens Close, Tinsley.

But Karen Watson, headteacher, said an ice cream van could be hazardous by blocking the view of pedestrains when children are being dropped off and collected.

A decision on the plans will be made by Sheffield Council’s licensing board tomorrow.
