A STRIKING floral display outside a cocktail bar has to be the biggest in Doncaster!

Auckley nurseryman Byron Pagin, from Hurst Lane, has used around 1,000 red and white pansies to create this stunning vertical garden display on a wall to spell out the name of Coco Ice in Bawtry Market Place.

The innovative display, which has attracted many comments from delighted visitors, is part of the Bawtry in Bloom initiative by the recently-formed Bawtry Retailers’ Association.

The 16ft wide vertical garden overlooks an already spectacular display of summer bedding, which was also designed, created and planted by Byron.

“We are thrilled with the floral displays that Byron has created for the town and the vertical garden at Coco Ice is particularly fitting as we celebrate our first anniversary,” said John Walsh, proprietor of Coco Ice and chairman of BRA.

“We are really committed to putting Bawtry on the map and this is just one of the many initiatives that we are putting in place to ensure every visitor to Bawtry has a most enjoyable experience.”
