The hunt has begun for new trustees for Sheffield Hospitals Charity.

The charity is one of the largest in Sheffield and pumps more than £2 million a year into projects designed to help patients of Sheffield Teaching Hospitals, including the Northern General, Weston Park, Royal Hallamshire, Jessop Wing and Charles Clifford Dental Hospital.

The Charity is now appealing for local people with significant experience of business management to put their names forward to become one of its trustees.

The role is unpaid and involves giving up between six and 12 days a year to trust business.

Charity director David Reynolds said: “We would be keen to hear from anyone who wants to make a lasting impact and feels passionate about patients receiving the highest quality of care.

“The role is unpaid, but it is a very rewarding to be able to contribute to creating a stronger NHS for patients and staff in Sheffield.”
