ST LUKE’S Hospice has been given a cash boost thanks to the Freemasons.

Sheffield’s only hospice, based in Whirlow, received a cheque for £4,040 from the Freemasons’ Grand Charity, the national body funded by Freemasons and their families which works to support people in need and fund the work of charities helping the wider community.

Peter Varley, of Sheffield Freemasons, said: “We are delighted to once again be able to make a donation to St Luke’s.

“As an organisation we believe in giving something back to our community and St Luke’s is an essential part of the Sheffield community.”
