IT group Wharncliffe has helped construction products group Macalloy to keep abreast of increasing opportunities to win orders around the world by boosting its business management systems.

Macalloy designs and manufacture specialised ground stabilisation, façade engineering and tensioning products that have been used on prestigious projects like the Burj Al Arab hotel in Dubai, the Pedestrian Skywalk in Hong Kong and the Changi Airport terminal in Singapore.

“We needed an upgrade to modern, state-of-the-art web-based systems to assist our agents in the field and to process orders more quickly back at HQ,” says Macalloy’s managing director, Peter Hoy.

“Business has been very brisk for us with an increasing number of exports, so we were clearly looking to improve all our business processes with an emphasis on Customer Relationship Management to deliver better support for our worldwide network.”

Macalloy approached several potential suppliers and chose Sage Strategic Partner, Tankersley-based Wharncliffe.
