Gripple has become the second Sheffield firm to win a coveted Ruban d’Honneur and a place in the finals of the 2011 European Business Awards.
The Sheffield firm, which invented the eponymous wire joiner and tensioner used in sectors from agriculture to construction, is in the final of the Chairman’s Selection category.
Along with Sheffield Forgemasters, which reached the finals of the Import/Export category of the awards, Gripple is one of 25 UK entrants to reach the finals.
Gripple’s managing director, Mark Edmonds, said: “This honour is a true mark of distinction and testament to the huge effort and commitment of our staff who own the company as shareholders and benefit from its success.”
The awards ceremony is in Barcelona in November.
