SHEEP shearing, wood turning, apple juice pressing and wool spinning will all feature as Chesterfield Market stages its first Green Fair this Saturday.
The environmentally-themed event runs from 10am to 4pm in Market Place, New Square and Vicar Lane Shopping Centre.
Stallholders will promote their products to a backdrop of entertainment from the Brampton Community Band and Madame Zucchini’s Amazing Vegetable Cabaret and activities will include electric vehicles, flour grinding, wicker basket weaving and seven-seater bike rides.
Johnny White, a Wirksworth-based sculptor, will build a sculpture from recycled waste in St James’ Square at Vicar Lane.
And there will be displays and exhibits from community groups Chesterfield Cycle Campaign, Transition Chesterfield, Friends of Manor Fields and Riverford Organic Veg Boxes.
