Actor and theatre director Richard Wilson has been named as guest speaker at Sheffield Chamber of Commerce President’s Dinner.
Wilson, who is best known for his role in the TV series One Foot in The Grave, has been associate director of Sheffield Theatres since 2009.
Sheffield Chamber President Suzanne Liversidge, said: “I am delighted Richard has agreed to join us. His work as an associate director at Sheffield Theatres demonstrates his love for the city and our cultural offering. I am really looking forward to hearing all about his life on the stage and on-screen.”
The Sheffield Chamber has once again chosen the nave of Sheffield’s Anglican Cathedral as the venue for the dinner, which takes place on Thursday July 5.
Suzanne Liversidge added: “We are extremely privileged to be able to stage this year’s dinner there because it is an absolutely ideal venue. After the last one, we were inundated by comments from people who had been overwhelmed by the splendour of it all.”
Proceeds from the event will go to the Chamber’s charity of the year, Kickstart, which runs drug addiction rehabilitation programmes.
