Olympic boxing gold medalist Nicola Adams and Savannah Marshall, Britain’s first ever women’s world boxing champion, have launched a £1m public gym at Sheffield’s English Institute of Sport.

GB Boxing duo Nicola and Savannah, pictured with Lorenzo Clark, of EIS operator Sheffield International Venues, took time out of training to open the three-floor complex. The facility overlooks the athletics track where Olympic heptathlon Jessica Ennis-Hill trains.

Sheffield International Venues has invested in 90 pieces of equipment for the gym, which will also be used by athletes.
