A BUSINESS that has grown from nothing to become the largest supplier of marquees and gazebos in Britain has expanded to new premises in Rotherham.

Gala Tent started out as a table-top business in Grimethorpe 10 years ago and has grown into a £5 million firm which exports to Europe and the US.

The move to a new headquarters on Farfield Park, at Manvers, coincides with the company’s launch of three innovative products - a folding banqueting chair that saves on storage and cost, a flat- packed banqueting table and a nine metre square marquee that fills a gap in the market between pop-up garden tents and larger marquees.

Managing director Jason Mace said: “Gala Tent has grown because it has been totally focused on identifying gaps in the market and innovating products to suit. The latest Gala Tent product is a pop up log cabin, and its launch will coincide with the opening of our new premises.”
