Staff from one of Doncaster’s fastest growing companies proved they are just as quick on the track with a fun-run to raise money for blind and visually impaired young people.

Some 43 employees from the Highfield Group – winners of Doncaster Chamber’s Large Business of the Year in December 2013 – put themselves through their paces as they completed a 10k run around Lakeside to raise money for VICTA, which supports blind and partially- sighted people under the age of 29.

The event was followed by a barbecue for friends and family to raise further funds.
Chris Sprenger, managing director, said: “It was a great effort by all the team and I am really pleased that we were able to raise more money on the day.

“Myself, Ben Cressey and Diana Hill will be running the London Marathon this month, and with £2,000 already raised, we’re on track to reach our target of £3750.”
