A VILLAGE store being upgraded at a cost of £135,000 is re-opening next week.

The Co-op’s branch in Wales Road, Kiveton Park, relaunches on Thursday, May 5, with new opening hours which have been extended by an hour on Sundays, from 7am until 10pm, seven days a week.

Changes at the store include an extended range of fruit and veg and chilled beers and wines and new eco-friendly fridges and freezers, as well as improved signage ensuring a more pleasant shopping experience for people picking up their groceries locally.

The store’s extensive ranges of fresh fruit and vegetables, new ranges, higher welfare meat and fish, and freshly baked breads will remain, with the store’s bakery increasing its range. Popular services, such as National Lottery and Paypoint, remain.
