Fairtrade tea and cotton bags will be given away to shoppers near a Sheffield Co-op for Fairtrade fortnight.
The celebration to raise the profile of Fairtrade products started yesterday and runs until Sunday, March 11.
Nicola Wylde, for Co-op, said: “Getting customers engaged with Fairtrade is important, because it gives us a chance to show how shopping ethically can benefit others.
Some 200 bags will be available, on a first-come first-serve basis, from the store on Ecclesall Road tomorrow.
n The Co-op is offering free event packs to South Yorkshire community groups, schools and colleges wanting to stage a Fairtrade event during the fortnight.
The packs include samples of Fairtrade products, leaflets, tablecloths and a DVD.
