The nation’s biggest first aid charity is encouraging employers in South Yorkshire to equip their staff with vital first aid skills.
Research by St John Ambulance has revealed 79 per cent of businesses have periods when there are no first aiders on the premises.
Fred Owen, regional training manager at St John Ambulance, is encouraging firms to take up places on one of the charity’s courses.
He said: “Many organisations may put off providing first aid training for their staff because it just seems too difficult and costly. Our courses are flexible and can be tailored to meet an organisation’s needs.”
