AN INTERNATIONAL creative design studio has become the first commercial tenant to sign up for office space at the revamped Park Hill complex.

Human – which has clients including MTV, Swatch and The University of Sheffield – has signed an agreement with developer Urban Splash for a two-storey unit spanning 1,100 sq ft.

Urban Splash is offering units for businesses ranging from 500 to 30,000 sq ft.

Nick Bax, of Human, said: “For me Park Hill has always been the most important building in Sheffield and it’s something the people we work with always ask about.

“Park Hill is iconic to Sheffield and a landmark building on a national and international scale, so it’s a fitting place for Human to be.

“We are already based in a Grade II listed building and Park Hill is the only location we considered moving to.”

The six-strong Human team will move from Globe Works in Shalesmoor next spring.

Emily Handslip, Associate Director at Urban Splash, said: “It’s great to see the whole community and vision for Park Hill starting to become a reality, with such interest in both the residential and commercial space.”

She added: “The businesses that come here will become an integral part of the new community at Park Hill and we’re looking for other like-minded businesses to be part of it.”
