A Doncaster-based motor finance expert is boosting its service to motorcycle dealerships.

Close Motor Finance has hired three additional account specialists as part of a major investment in its motorcycle division. Five sector specialists will now work exclusively on bike business, with a 15-strong experienced support team with motorcycle industry knowledge, assisting dealers in Doncaster and across the country with point of sale finance.

Chris Reid, head of the motorcycle division, said: “Our new offering sets us apart from the competition as dealers will always work with specialists who know everything there is to know about motorcycles, including underwriting and account management. This investment is about retaining what’s been good about our partnerships with motorcycle dealers over the last 14 years and building on it to help dealers sell more bikes.”

Bespoke training for the sales support team by the Motorcycle Industry Association means staff understand specific models and brands and potential vehicle extras, therefore appreciating the variation between the true value of the motorcycle and the book price.

Steve Kenward, CEO of the Motorcycle Industry Association said: “Through the MCI, Close Motor Finance has access to all industry’s developments in legislation, licensing, training, safety and market trends.”
