tenant farmers are invited to attend a meeting organised by the National Farmers’ Union about planning for the succession of their business.
The meeting for South Yorkshire farmers will be held next Monday, November 26, from 7.30pm at Doncaster Rugby Club, Armthorpe Road, Doncaster.
Presentations will be given by NFU rural surveyor Louise Staples and local land agents.
NFU regional tenants’ spokesman, Jonathan Fairburn, said: “Succession is best planned early, so every eventuality can be considered should the farmer decide to retire or have to leave the farm due to injury or other circumstances.
“Without a succession plan years of hard work and effort are jeopardised.”
