PLANS for a takeaway to open late will be considered by a Sheffield Council licensing board just two weeks after the application was pulled.
Falafel King owner Masoud El-Saadawy wants to open until 4am every day – but the plans have sparked concerns about potential noise affecting neighbours.
The Glossop Road takeaway has permission to trade until 11pm, but wants to operate from 8am to 4am daily.
Its application was due to be debated by Sheffield Council’s licensing board earlier this month, but was withdrawn after council officials said the building did not have planning permission to open beyond 11pm.
An objection was also made by a nearby resident on noise grounds and council environmental health officers said they want the premises to close no later than 3am, in line with other takeaways in the area.
Mr El-Saadawy said he has resubmitted the application because he wants the late-night licence before seeking planning permission.
