Extra buses are being introduced on a busy bus service in Barnsley.

The morning peak services are being launched on Stagecoach Yorkshire’s Number 32 route, from Cudworth to Barnsley, from Saturday, January 25.

The change is one of a number of alterations being made to services in Barnsley, the Dearne Valley, Sheffield and Chesterfield.

To improve reliability on Service 12, the 5.20pm departure from Barnsley will leave five minutes later.

On Service X19 during Mondays to Fridays, the 6.55am journey from Barnsley will leave Scawsby at the earlier time of 7.30am.

In Sheffield, Stagecoach is introducing a change on some evening trips on the service 87, which previously terminated at Chapeltown, but will now extend to High Green.

In Chesterfield, on Service X17, Stagecoach is making minor timetable changes and introducing an additional stop on Sheffield Road, Stonegravels.

Paul Lynch, Stagecoach Yorkshire managing director, said: “The changes we make are always developed with the primary aim of improving services for the benefit of our passengers and based on feedback from our customers.”
