EEF, the manufacturers’ organisation, and Siemens, the world’s largest engineering company, are joining forces at the International Festival for Business to tackle the key issues facing industry as companies emerge from the ‘Great Recession’.
The flagship conference, designed to champion Britain as a manufacturing and engineering powerhouse on a global stage, will take place on Wednesday, June 25, at the Hilton Hotel, Liverpool. It will be free to attend and is expected to be the highlight of Manufacturing, Science and Technology Week at the IFB.
Industry experts and business leaders will debate the future of manufacturing, the challenges and opportunities of ‘Make it Britain’ and how Britain can secure the world-class skills and talent required for manufacturing growth to carry on at a pace. The sessions offer practical tips and advice for businesses facing these critical issues. There will also be opportunities to network and gain support in the exhibitor zone and business clinics.
Andy Tuscher, EEF Yorkshire and Humber director, says: “It’s about showcasing the talent, opportunity and ability in the sector.”
