East Midlands Trains win top customer service award

East Midlands Trains has scooped one of the top awards at the 2013 Rail Business Awards for its customer information and service during last year’s Nottingham re-signalling scheme.

The judges recognised the train operator’s excellent customer service during one of the longest ever station closures from mid-July to mid-August last year.

A customer information campaign launched before rail work began found 89 per cent of passengers were aware of the works and 92 per cent satisfied with their journey.
