A plan to bring free Wi-fi in to Doncaster town centre has been approved by councillors.
The proposal was put before the cabinet meeting this morning, and was unanimously given the go-ahead.
It is hoped that this will encourage more people to visit the area.
Official figures recently collected by the council revealed that footfall has fallen in the town centre by an average of 28 per cent since 2007.
Mayor Ros Jones said: “This will stimulate the town centre environment. I fully support this recommendation and I look forward to seeing it help improve our town centre offering.”
