AN Olympic diver brought the spirit of the games to a business conference in Sheffield when he appeared as one of the main speakers.
Leon Taylor, who won silver in the diving competition at the 2004 Athens Olympics, spoke at the Investec Wealth and Investment conference at the Mercure St Paul’s Hotel.
The sportsman gave an inspiring speech to around 60 of the region’s leading independent financial advisers at the annual event, which was in its fourth year.
Investec director James Bedingfield said: “Leon really did set the tone for what was one of the most memorable and exciting conferences we have held.”
Delegates also took part in a series of interactive workshops covering topical subjects such as the Eurozone crisis.
Investec currently looks after £11.75 billion of clients’ money, as well as £1.4 billion belonging to charities.
