Speed restrictions and lane closures will be in force on the M1 in South Yorkshire for months when work to install new signs gets under way next week.
The project will see signals - capable of showing variable speed limits - put up along the two-mile stretch between junctions 31, at Aston, and 32, near Thurcroft.
Overnight lane restrictions will be in place from 8pm to 6am from Monday, as well as 24-hour closures of the hard shoulder at certain points.
A 50mph speed limit - currently in place from junctions 28 to 31 of the M1, where the motorway is being widened - is being extended to junction 32.
The work is set to last until next Spring. The Highways Agency says it will reduce traffic congestion. Visit www.highways.gov.uk/roads for details.
