Sheffield digital creative company Hawkify has taken on five staff, more than doubling the size of its team.

The newcomers are Chris Brain, an experienced web developer, Brett Nockalls, an expert in SEO, and Michael Ravenscroft and Sarah Lewis, two marketing and administrative assistants.

The firm has also hired Adele as the new office manager and is currently recruiting a sales representative.

The decision to expand came after the number of clients rose from 10 to more than 50 in the last year.

The firm has also just moved to bigger offices at The Workstation on Paternoster Row, next to the Showroom Cinema. It has been fitted with all new computers and equipment, as well as a pool table.

The changes came while co-founders Dan Hawksworth and George Dorman and marketing manager James Rollings were still studying at Sheffield Hallam.

Dan said: “We had a great six months with an influx of new customers, but it got to the stage where we couldn’t manage all this extra business with such a small team.

“We decided to expand, pumping the profits straight back into the business to keep this momentum going.”

Dan credits the dramatic growth to having a genuine passion for the service his team provides.

Hawkify client Guy Ludlum of Claypenny Properties, said: “We’ve used Hawkify for our SEO campaigns since the turn of the year and they have also completed a fantastic website for us that delivers on exactly what we required.”
