Bus operators in Sheffield are celebrating winning two top awards.
The Sheffield Bus Partnership has won the Peter Huntley Memorial Award for making buses a better choice and the local authority project of the year title at the UK Bus Awards.
David Young, South Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive deputy interim director-general, said: “It has been a year of huge progress for the partnership and I am delighted this has been recognised at the awards.
“The partnership’s commitment to understand and respond to customer needs continues to improve the quality of Sheffield’s bus network, and is providing a platform for further improvements.”
The partnership was also named runner-up in the innovation category.
