Chesterfield Special Cylinders is targeting expansion in Continental Europe and Scandinavia after its main European rival hit financial problems.
The Sheffield-based Pressure Technologies subsidiary has launched a business in the German town of Dorsten to provide a design and sales service on the continent.
“We are already in talks with the German Navy and with the main players in the European gas transportation sector,” says managing director Mick Pinder, pictured. “Our main European rival, Mannesmann, recently entered insolvency.
“The launch of CSC GMBH coincides with our employing the leading sales and technical staff in the German cylinders market.”
