Dormer Tools has announced a landmark partnership with Heller Machine Tools.

Heller has chosen Dormer’s Advanced Manufacturing Park site as a demonstration facility for its five axis, high torque FT 4000 machine tool, described as one of the most powerful machines of its type.

Geoff Lloyd, managing director of Heller, said: “We have a number of demonstration machines across Europe, but we have chosen the Dormer facility at the Advanced Manufacturing Park as the key location to house our UK machine.

“Dormer has developed a long-standing reputation for excellence in cutting tool technology. We see this as the ideal opportunity to showcase our machine and how it can work hand-in-hand with the latest in cutting tool innovations.”

Dormer Tools general manager John O’Donoghue said“Bringing a world-leader such as Heller on board will provide Dormer with the machining capabilities to demonstrate how successful our cuttings tools can be.”
