Networking group Matrix Sheffield City Region has brought business leaders from the creative and digital industries together with representatives of the Local Enterprise Partnership to discuss the development of the sector.
Business owners and Matrix members met LEP Creative and Digital Industries sector group chairman, Professor Mike Holcombe, and LEP board member Lee Strafford at an event hosted by commercial law firm Nabarro, chaired by Chamber of Commerce executive director Richard Wright.
Nabarro partner Ben Hendry said: “We felt that business leaders from the Sheffield City Region needed clarification from the LEP on what was being done to support their sector.
“Approximately 50,000 people from the region work in CDI, so it is an important area to review and ensure everything is being done to support businesses.”
Nabarro is hosting a number of other sector meetings, including a meeting for the sport, leisure and tourism sector, which takes place on Wednesday, May 16 and which will be followed by meetings with the manufacturing, property and construction, retail, low carbon and healthcare technologies sectors, later in the year.
