PLANS to open an adult venue in Attercliffe are set to be considered for a licence by Sheffield Council this week.

West Yorkshire businessman Adrian Pearson has applied for permission to open premises on Effingham Street, Attercliffe.

The premises would be open from 11am until 6am seven days a week and play recorded music and adult films.

The venue, to be called Paradise, would have a lounge and soft drinks bar downstairs, plus bedrooms and a spa upstairs.

Sheffield Council’s licensing board had been scheduled to decide on the application last month but the meeting was deferred until Thursday.

Mr Pearson said the premises would be strictly for over 18s, with a secure entry, CCTV and large groups and drunks would not be not allowed in.
