Chamber president, Yuri Matischen, said: "The Sheffield Business Awards have again demonstrated that despite tough economic times there is still a huge amount of success being achieved by companies.

"It is also an indication of the rich variety of sectors we have in this area, from health to manufacturing, sport to digital industries.

"I would personally like to congratulate the winners on their greatly deserved success, while also praising the companies which were short-listed. We had record number of entries again this year, so to be among the finalists is a great achievement."

The award ceremony took place at Ponds Forge International Sports Centre in Sheffield and was attended by more than 1,000 people.
