Business advisor Emma Davies is urging Sheffield’s larger private companies to share their business experience with up and coming firms.
“With the upcoming closure of Business Link and the economy struggling to return to growth, it is important that some of the larger private sector businesses step up to support smaller businesses in the region,” says Ms Davies, a senior manager at Grant Thornton in Sheffield.
“It’s important that fledgling businesses are able to access the best advice, as well as advisors who can challenge and help refine their ideas and decisions.”
Grant Thornton has launched its own Emerging Business package aimed at businesses that have been trading for less than three years, have a turnover of £250,000 or more and are committed to achieving significant growth and job creation within the Sheffield City Region in the next two years.
The fixed price package includes meetings with a business adviser and accounting services such as preparation of a three year financial forecasts, year end accounts, quarterly management accounts and annual tax computations.
Grant Thornton is also offering people taking up the package the opportunity to take a psychometric assessment specially designed for entrepreneurs.
