South Normanton-based ecommerce website design and online marketing specialists Purpose Media has won the Small Business Award.

The firm’s success has meant that over the past six years it has smashed turnover targets and created jobs for 22 people.

High profile customers include Derby County FC and LION-TrackHire.

The company says its customers have enjoyed more than £100 million in total online sales over the last three years.

No stranger to award ceremonies, the firm won the Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire Chamber of Commerce Small Business of the Year in 2014 and the Chamber Awards Regional Small Business of the Year 2014.

After teaming up with training provider Aspire Achieve Advance (3As) the company took on 10 apprentices and expanded so much it had to move to new offices.

The company has recently received a grant from D2N2’s Unlocking Investment for Growth programme, with the business’s own investment, it allowed it to buy more office space next to its current premises at The Village Business Park in South Normanton.

Oliver Bryssau, boss of award sponsor Origin Broadband, said: “Congratulations to Purpose Media, and to all of the nominees as well – we know first hand how much of a boost the awards can give to the team, and how it can open up a world of new contacts and connections.”
