Three Chinese companies have registered to attend the Global Manufacturing Festival as the event broadens its international status.

Tool moulding company Dalian Golden Trust Precision Mould Engineering and Dalian City Exhibition and Conference Center are the first companies from China to register for the Yorkshire & Humber region’s premier manufacturing event.

They have been joined by Qingdao Sino-German Ecopark, a joint venture for sustainable city development in China that is supported by the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology.

A separate Chinese delegation is also discussing an exhibit with the organisers, and with the three companies already booked it would represent the largest interest from China in the five-year old manufacturing event.

Golden Trust Mould Engineering is a 10-year-old tool moulding, mould stamping and die casting company situated in Dalian in Liaoning Province.

It uses a range of wire cutting machines and genspark machines, She Hong (Taiwanese) machining centres, engraving machines and other precision engineering machines made in Taiwan.

The company will be looking to sell its services to companies in the Sheffield City Region.

Dalian City Exhibition and Conference Center will be represented by the same person, Jiao Jiao, and may represent a route into China for local firms via trade shows.
