Hand made crisps from Sheffield could be taking on prawn crackers in China, Hong Kong and Macau following the completion of an exclusive deal between the Yorkshire Crisp Company and a leading Far Eastern distributor.
Wales Bar-based Yorkshire Crisp is linking up with European Gourmet, which is one of the most prominent food and beverage distribution companies in Hong Kong and China and supplies chain stores, coffee shops and department stores as well as a major hotels, clubs bars and prestigious leisure organisations such as The Hong Kong Jockey Club.
Tim Wheatley, of Yorkshire Crisp said: “I feel very optimistic about the success we potentially have with European Gourmet. China is very much an emerging market, the potential is huge and I’m sure they are the right partners to take this forward for us.”
