Changes are set to be made to a busy bus route in Barnsley as part of a review of services by operator Stagecoach.
The bus operator is making improvements around the Pontefract Road area to boost punctuality and reliability and to reflect current travel patterns.
Bosses at Stagecoach Yorkshire said the review of services had been developed based on feedback from customers and staff.
From Saturday, August 30, Stagecoach buses will run more frequently along Pontefract Road through Lundwood - up to every five minutes during the day Monday to Saturday.
Service 32, which runs from Barnsley to Crown Avenue, Cudworth, will be improved to run up to every 10 minutes, as will buses to Grimethorpe. The frequency of buses to Brierley will also be improved.
An hourly link from Barnsley to Goldthorpe, via Grimethorpe and the ASOS clothing warehouse, will be launched and there will also be an increase in the number of buses serving Nancy Crescent and ASOS.
A new weekend night bus, the N27, will serve Barnsley, Brierley and Grimethorpe on Saturday nights and Sunday mornings.
