Long-established Sheffield company Pyramid Fire Protection has been acquired by AIM listed business support services group Green Compliance.
Anna Peysner, associate director with Castle Square Corporate Finance, led negotiations on behalf of shareholders in the fire protection business, identifying and approaching potential buyers and running an auction for the business.
Castle Square says it knew there were prospects for further consolidation in the fire protection sector, where a number of larger companies were engaged in ‘buy and build’ strategies.
Anna Peysner added: “Castle Square is delighted to have acted on this transaction, which secures a successful exit for the shareholders and also ensures the future success of the company in the hands of Green Compliance, for whom the purchase is an excellent strategic fit.”
Pyramid designs and installs bespoke fire detection and protection systems.
It numbers Sheffield Forgemasters, defence contractor Babcock International and Bradford Royal Infirmary among its blue chip clients.
Green Compliance has a £20m turnover and an established record of acquisitions in the fire protection sector.
Legal services were provided by a team from solicitors Taylor and Emmett, led by Peter Crawford.
