A CAR parts firm with a branch in Sheffield has been placed into administration, putting jobs at risk.
Motormania, which has a garage in Intake, has appointed financial advisors Grant Thornton as administrators. Along with its sister company Midland Car Parts, it is hoped the businesses can be sold as a going concern.
The firm was established 25 years ago, and is one of the largest motor accessory and parts suppliers in the Midlands and the North.
More than 90 people are employed across the company.
David Bennett, from Grant Thornton, said: “Motormania and Midland Car Parts are long-established businesses with a strong reputation. We are continuing to trade the businesses with a view to selling as going concerns and are in discussions with a number of interested parties.”
