A fifth of businesses in the UK are yet to develop a social media strategy, with only a third actively using it to promote their products.
A further third have made attempts to use it before giving up on the process.
The report, put together by Catalogues 4 Business, questioned more than 300 UK organisations. According to the findings, 31 per cent of companies use social media in marketing. However, there has been a 36 per cent drop in usage, suggesting some businesses give up.
