PRIVATE businesses are being asked for their views on the impact of the recession and what should happen to help them create more jobs.
Barnsley Council’s economy and skills scrutiny commission is meeting on Monday to launch the investigation, which will consider a series of issues.
■ How far have private sector businesses been affected by the difficult economic conditions?
■ How businesses have performed – have they been able to overcome the difficult trading conditions that they face?
■ How private sector businesses view the future. Do they believe that they will become more or less successful?
Officials will also ask firms what they would like to see happen locally to help them to create more jobs.
