Century Business Centre in Rotherham has returned to the 100 per cent occupancy levels it enjoyed before the recession.
The Manvers-based development’s new found success follows the arrival of fitness centre Yorkshire Kettlebells.
Yorkshire Kettlebells offers personal training and classes using ‘kettlebells’ – weights resembling cannonballs with handles, which have been used in Russia since the 1700s for exercises that combine cardiovascular, strength and flexibility training.
Founder Liam O’Brien is a former nightclub manager who ran several venues in Leeds until he opted for a healthier lifestyle seven years ago and trained to become a fitness coach.
Liam moved to Rotherham from West Yorkshire after deciding the Dearne Valley was an up and coming area that would be a perfect base for his business.
“I’d looked at quite a few business units around West and South Yorkshire, but Century Business Centre was perfect for my studio,” said Liam.
Yorkshire Kettlebells’ arrival has been a boost to another Wath-based business, Lightmain, which designs and manufactures leisure and play equipment and supplied much of the gym equipment.
