Bus passengers have voted Stagecoach Yorkshire among the best value for money of any bus company nationally.
In a survey by Passenger Focus, 78 per cent of people said they were satisfied with the value for money of Stagecoach Yorkshire bus journeys.
It compares to an average of 57 per cent of people who were ‘very or fairly satisfied’ with operators across all Passenger Transport Executive authorities.
The cost for the distance travelled and the cost of using the bus compared to other forms of travel were the biggest factors influencing value for money ratings.
The key reasons for travel by passengers were commuting, shopping, visiting friends and relatives and leisure.
Paul Lynch, Stagecoach Yorkshire managing director, said: “Stagecoach prides itself on value-for-money fares.”
