LOYAL employees have been honoured for clocking up years of service on the buses around South Yorkshire and North Derbyshire.
Five employees were recognised by Stagecoach after spending 150 years in their jobs based at depots in Barnsley and Chesterfield.
Daniel Lawrence, from the Barnsley depot, is retiring after completing 43 years’ work.
Retiring from the same depot are Brian Jukes, who has been with the company for 39 years, and David Knaggs, who has completed 29 years of service.
Also honoured was Antony Herberts, who worked in engineering at Stagecoach’s Chesterfield depot for 38 years.
And Fred Wood, a recently retired Stagecoach driver in Barnsley, was presented with a special award for 40 years of safe driving.
