TRANSPORT bosses say the new bus partnership has been a big success.
South Yorkshire Integrated Transport Authority chairman Coun Mick Jameson said: “The voluntary partnership seems to be working very well.
“It’s groundbreaking work getting two operators to be more cooperative with regards to ticketing and it has actually meant that we have reduced costs for the bus user, which is always good.
“It’s early days but we are excited about the possible potential and whether it could be extended throughout South Yorkshire.
“We will monitor it and if it does turn out to be a long term improvement for all partners, I’m sure we will be looking at extending it.”
